Biography:
Calvin is a Lecturer in the Department of Social and Community Development, University of Zimbabwe. Currently Calvin is a PhD candidate at the University of Zimbabwe on Sports sociology and commercilization of sports. In 2023 Calvin won a World Rugby Grant which focused on social and economic welfare of Rugby players in Zimbabwe. Some of Calvin interest’s areas involve urban livelihoods, urban housing policy, climate change and rural livelihoods, gender inequalities, sports and inequalities, gender based violence. His research interests include urban livelihoods, urban housing policies, climate change and rural livelihoods, gendered inequalities in sport and Gender Based Violence (GBV).
